MY STORY OF A DEAR FRIEND
My story is not about sex but all about looking after one another while you are together. My story is true; it all took place a few months ago. It all started with a family visitor to my home and my Dobermann dog Jagoe ran to greet them. The driveway was long, and Jagoe was so pleased we had company and ran flat out to greet them. He almost got to my family when he had a heart attack and was nearly dead when we all got to him. At the time we did not know it was a heart attack and were helpless as to know what to do for Jageo.
After around two minutes of being beside him, he died We pushed up and down on his body and I opened his mouth for an air way and we kept going for around two to three minutes and then his eyes opened and he was breathing once again. He sat up after some time laying there and then he stood up and staggered around after 15 minutes had passed by. I said to my boyfriend he is going to die again he cant walk and my boyfriend said He’s ok for now how would you feel if you died and came back he hardly know what happened to him.
My boyfriend went and called the vet and said stay with him and don’t let him out of your sight. We got Jagoe into the car and off to the vets and after he examined him he thought it was a stroke he had and gave us some pills and said come back when they have gone. We went home but that night Jagoe was bad again and i worked on him and got him back again and after a minute or two he got up. I slept beside him every night to make sure he was ok at all times.
The drugs Jagoe was on made him drink and also want to pass water every half hour. He steadily got worse and we took him back to the vets and he said to us he looks fine to me. I said he goes down fast and then seems ok but not for long as he starts to cough and falls over and if your not fast enough he dies.
We took Jagoe back home and i was up each night all night long letting him out to drink and go to the toilette. A few days later Jagoe collapsed in the kitchen and i rushed over to help him by pushing down on his body over and over again and with his mouth open as it worked before. I got him back i phoned the vet and the vet said is he ok now. I said he is at the minute. The vet said bring him in and i would like to keep him here for a day so we can see what is going on with him.
The vet phoned me later that day and said i am truly sorry but as you know every time Jagoe came to see me he was fine. I have had a report from one of my nurses and i asked her could there be a mistake as she said he was very down and coat dull but when i went to see him he was fine. I went back to Jagoe 15 minute later and i have never seen a dog go down so fast in my life. It is his heart you were right and i am very sorry but i could only treat him as i saw him.
The next day Friday he collapsed again in the morning and i got him back and for the rest of the day he had minor attacks of just coughing. That night i gave Jagoe a large hide bone as he loved them and he deserved a treat. He was really enjoying it and had three quarters of it gone in around an hour. He was by my side eating his hide bone and looked up at me as much as to say this is alright and then carried on eating his bone. The next time i looked to see if Jagoe was ok he laid beside what was left of his hide bone and he was dead.
I phoned the vet and said Jagoe is dead we wont be there tomorrow for his appointment. The vet said he was truly sorry and my point is this if you love some one don’t wait till they are dead to show them you love and care for them. Jagoe died just five years old and from what i have found out in these past few weeks is this. Please all of you boycott bad breeders as all they care about is your money not the dog.
I look into the stars and say god bless and I love you Jagoe.
